Mechanical help needed!
I have a dilemma: I have a set of very strong metal gears that needs a grease that is high temperature resistent and can last for a very long time without evaporation or changes in properties. Any suggestions? It must be in grease form because oil would simply drip off...
road rage will soon find this thread and save the day.
but before he posts, lemme throw my $.02 in and suggest... would the grease used in wheel bearings be suitable? it seems to have the properties you mention? I'm sure that grease is designed to function the same in all temperatures; whether it be mid-winter or after a long day at the track in summer.
p.s.-- congrats on your soon-to-be-born son!!
