Default Mechanix gloves vs. Oakley

well, I'm looking to get a pair of gloves before I move to my next duty station (Okinawa Japan) a little background on why/what I'm looking for gloves: I'm a US Marine motor vehicle operator, and part of my job is loading and unloading trucks with an LVSR although I dont know how much I'll be using the LVSR there are A LOT of places that can easily pinch, bruise or break your fingers and some places that need a bit of force (a nice solid hit usually does the trick) so what I'm looking for is something with hard knuckles and decent finger protection so I have narrowed it down to two sets of gloves. the first is
http://www.oakley.com/products/facto...palm/94025-001
which is a little steep, but I'm leaning more towards:
http://www.mechanix.com/m-pact-3-glove
because of the finger protection
just wanted to see some opinions, or if there are some good recommendations I welcome them as long as they are a solid color and not bright (dont really want to call attention to myself

Have you registered with u.s. standard issue? Thats Oakley's website that give our military, peace officers and certain government groups a discount. I have the Oakley gloves, they are pretty durable for having the leather being as thin as it is. It really keeps you feeling everything that your working with.

I and my little boys have a bunch of the Oakley's both in tan & black. We use then shooting / hunting.

Very comfortable , the knuckle protection is useful.

Find a Oakley hook up, we paid $28.00 bucks for ours.

Oakley's Standard issue program is legit. It's worth signing up for and giving it a try, If you don't like 'em you can give 'em away.
