Default medical dental insurance

One of friends has decided that he's tired of working in restaraunts and is going back to school to complete his degree. Since he won't be working full-time anymore, he's going to have to pay for his own medical/dental insurance. Can anyone who pays for their own medical/dental insurance make any recommendations?

Is he going to be a full time student? Alot of schools have a dental/medical plan (its more for emergencies) sometimes covered by the tuition.

Yes, he will be full-time. I'll tell him to see if the university offers any medical/dental plans. I don't think he has much need for regular medical services, so emergency coverage may be enough, but he has been complaining about one of his wisdom teeth, so I'm not sure if an emergency plan would cover that.

Any recommendations?

I think most dental plans will cover that...I'm just guessing. It's not like its a "cleaning" or anything....probably depends also whether he/she goes to an oral surgeon or a dentist...I have no clue what I'm talking about.
