this article: http://my.webmd.com/content/article/2731.559
states that "Bee Pollen" or a dash of cayenne (not a quick spin in the new Porche SUV) may increase your metabolism.

more on just metabolism can be found here: http://my.webmd.com/content/asset/miller_keane_20670

Personally, I dont know the answer to that question. But it cannot hurt. Drinking lots of water every day is always a healthy thing, especially since 80% of your body is water.

It *may* increase your metabolism by making you run to the bathroom more!

No change in metabolism; however, you'll need to piss like a racehorse!

Try Niacin supplements. It doesn't actully increase your metabolism, but it helps you metabolize more efficiently.

Drinking more water keeps your digestive system flushed out. A sluggish, clogged digestive system means a sluggish you. So the answer is yes.

Keeping hydrated is what is really important. It doesn't have to be water. You can drink colas, coffee, sport drinks, etc. Water is suggested simply because it is free nutritionally. No calories, etc. Drinking 64 oz of Gator Aid a day is not good because of all the sugars. But you could do it and be just as hydrated as drinking water. Basically your body will extract the water in any drink and use it.

Actually it will increase your metabolism if like most folks. Most people don't drink enough water and are somewhat dehydrated. The result is a slower metabolism. 3% if I remember correctly. So the answer is sort of yes. Drinking enough water could raise your metabolic rate.
