really?

live
http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=...2c%20CA%2090703

google
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=13...91,0.002511&t=k

plus, with microsoft, you can click a point on the map and pinpoint that spot to get directions to/from. can't do that with google/yahoo/mapquest... that is the BEST feature of the local.live.com

I guess arguments can be made both ways. You are correct with your example. However when I tried it out for NJ, Google had the BEST images, while Live didn't have it at all.

You can pinpoint and enter a "drive to/from" on google.

Yeah but I don't see any value in blindly picking a point on a map and driving to it. I do agree however that given time and development, if Google stays complacent, Microsoft WILL take the lead with Live.

Microsoft's aerial view actually uses the exact same imaging data as Google Local.

Notice they're the same pic?

Granted, Microsoft's bird's eye has some clear photos that are great to look at, but you cannot pan around and zoom is limited. At this point Google is much more useful overall IMO.

I also agree that the ability to right-click and get an address is an extremely useful feature.
