They are way overpriced. You pay for the hardware/software integration, maybe the Apple keyboard for key mapping - if you pay for anything else you're just trying to complete the look. Apple is like the Porsche of the computer world - you pay top shelf prices and get top shelf quality, but while the car is unique, overpaying for branded sunglasses and a hat is dumb.

i wanted to get video files from my mac to play on my tv, but that requires at least 2 cables, one just because the mac mini-dvi is exclusive to mac, and another to get it to work with my tv in HD.

so i dled Vuze instead, that way i can play the video files from my mac, on my ps3, through the network! saves me like 50 bucks

Both sides foster the rivalry b/c it makes a big deal out of nothing.

I've never had an issue with any of my PCs, either, but kids/girls/non-computer literate folks always end up with viruses, probably because they click on every damn /$$$$$$ site/ thing that they see.
edited for you..

Apple has the "pinwheel of death." That's what I call the little bastard when it appears on my wife's MacBook.

Funny stuff. And I agree 100% DFWs2K...if you go around dicking everything...then what do you expect. True in the "real" world too.
edited for you as well.

Think about all you know about Windows, and then imagine it better thought out, simpler and that it "just works". There, now you know about Macs. Remember, MS has basically been reverse-engineering Apple's operating systems and other products since the early 80s - its like a monkey building a rocket based off what its seen a scientist do.

What Saki said. Installing Boot Camp is probably the most time-intensive part of the whole process. It really is dead simple.
