Why steal buggy MS software when you can get an open source product that actually works...for free?

No, it's open source....FREE

It does everything the MS Office does, same format etc - except it does it better.

It doesn't do it better, it doesn't even do it as well. The GUI stinks and the lack of VBA says it all. How can you do complex analysis without VBA? Just one slight example with the open office. The Excel CALC doesn't have all the functions that excel has NOT EVEN 1/2 okay maybe a little more than 1/2 maybe more like 70%. However without VBA you can't do anything really complex. Maybe I'm missing something wheres the programming language? However, if your in a jamb it'll do. WTF this is about the crappiest attempt I've seen.

Doesn't appear to support forms or class modules either. Yet i'm still playing. Sun has a good idea but they really need to make this work better and support every built in formula that excel has. Excel is loaded with problems, it would be nice to see them break the 255 column barrier etc... but the programming enviorment is inaddequate. I wouldn't let my dog use it. I feel like im in windows 3.1. Sun needs to get this up and running just as good then they might be able to actually compete with microsoft again. However, I'm sure if they actually made it as good then microsoft would trump them.
