I have a friend who wants to get into modeling like the ones that you see in Import Tuner and so forth. How do one get into the business? Any ladies here in the industry??

Check Craigslist, I see ads like that posted all the time. Look under the "Gigs" section then click on "creative". Some photographers are offering a TFCD (trade for images on a CD) so both the model & the photog. can build a portfolio, others are paying gigs.

all of them will help. just get exposure.
import modeling isn't like Victoria Secret - looking at the type of girls that are considered import models, you can literally pick up any girl from the street and have them dress up and pose.

if the people like her for her looks, then she's good to go.
we need pics.

if she is shy to put pics of her online.. then that's the first challenge she has to get over.

dress her like a gogo dancer and hit up some shows,...after a few shes sure to have a couple gigs

 

I know a couple of girls.. but they just went to car stuff... or car shows.. and they would just get recognized and asked if they'd like to model.. unless she wants to do that...
