Default More computer help please

I'm still having problems here. I have Norton, downloaded Spyware, and Sdware SE. Ran all of them and did find a lot of problems that they fixed. Still my computer is having problems. Actually every time I run them they come up with more problems. I have done so about 6 times.
When Im using Yahoo.com on IE my computer will start to send emails out in alphabetical order to a ton of addresses. I dont know any of the addresses and I have no idea whats in the emails. All I know is that Norton is scanning them before they are sent and the ones with bad addresses are popping up saying "Symantec error". I let my computer idle last night and came back to 109 pop ups saying that error.
IE is also closing all its windows by itself very often and once in a while it will redirect me to a different webpage. Usually some kind of warning page about viruses.
What else can I do?

If all your symantec products do not detect anything i say perform a system restore.
you can also trouble shoot ur start up
start -> run -> msconfig - OR - sysedit
and maybe see what ur system is loading at startup?
btw msconfig does not work on win2000

I have windows Xp. Is restore a disk that came with the computer? My old computer came with one, but thsi one didnt. I rather just back up all my important info and just reboot the whole thing? Is that possible without a disk?

I say delete and reinstall, but first wait a week. There my be a new virus that hasnt been fixed yet and you just happen to be one of the early birds who caught the worm <---- terrible pun intended.

As for now, install FireFox and stay off all things IE until you figure it out, I am willing to bet what ever you have was brought on by a loop hole in shitty IE code and will be fixed by FireFox.

I just restored my computer a few months back. So far so good. I also installed forefox. Is there a pop up blocker available for it?

have you downloaded all the updates for Norton, Spybot, and Ad-Aware? your virus signatures might be old.

personally, I'd do a complete wipe-n-reinstall if my system started doing that.

if you don't have a windows CD-ROM, you won't be able to reinstall Windows
