Default Morpheus 1.9

New version came out. You have to sign up and give them a bit more info than I'd prefer , but I used my alias ("Billy West"), so oh well! Seems like it's MUCH better than 1.3 was. Better at finding songs and allows you to download from multiple clients better than 1.3 could as well.

I laughed at the new "features":

NEW Morpheus Messenger - Instant Messenger with free text and audio capabilities. Morpheus Messenger also allows you to communicate with your AOL IM buddies.

NEW Morpheus Shopping Community - Provides you with unprecedented buying power while securing cash rewards for shopping online.

Yippy f'in skippy. Just what I need, another IM client and another shopping client, all rolled into my mp3 client. Hold me back...

I could care less about those... the fact that it uses 100% of my CPU pisses me off.

**** YOU MORPHEUS!

You must have a problem with your install. On average, it uses about 4% of processor time on my PC.

Odd. My computer was bogged down hard the whole time it was open. I finally thought to check and it was using 100% of the CPU and had about 60 megs of memory tied up. It looks like it is behaving a bit better now.

It stopped behaving. This is a graph of my CPU/memory usage:

The program acts like it's locked up half the time I try to switch over to it (alt + tab).

I ran ad-aware to clean up the spyware... rebooted a couple times... still acting the same.

Other than constantly locking my computer up, it's great!

WestSideBilly,

What type of CPU do you have? My brothers AMD does the same but my Intel does not!

Is this version of Morpheus still using the gneutella network??? I stopped using morpheus once they went on that network, it made it harder to find anything.
