i wouldn't recommend the pistol grip alone, rather the tactical stock
as for the 500's they're bulletproof (no pun intended)
if you look hard enough you can probably find a bull pup kit for them i want one i just never had the time to look

It will be 90% for the range, 10% home defense.
I'm concerned that every tenth shot you fire will be at someone who came too close to your home for your comfort

I picked the 870 myself but there's nothing wrong with the 500. I'd say the 870 has better fit-n-finish. Remington sells a nifty combo-barrel package that saves some coin if you want both choked and rifled barrels.
mossberg has the same dual barrel package deal...it's worth it

I like the pistol grip, and the build seems nice, price isn't bad as well.

Not quite. That's a .700 Nitro Express. It's used to take down elephants and dinosaurs lol. The rounds cost around $100 each.

I'll go out on a limb here and say I love my Benelli Supernova Tactical. I shot my friends 500 Mariner and my Benelli is much more refined. The pump action is like night and day between the two. I've put about 500 rounds through mine and it has performed flawlessly. If I were you I'd try to shoot a few different guns and see what you like best.

I have a 590, and had a maverick 88, both great guns. I prefer the Safety/action release on the mossy's over the 870.

Pistol grip alone.....meh

The rifle in the video is not a .700 Nitro that's a .577 T-Rex

^^

Looks like they need to work on their grip strength.
