Thumbs up Moxi DVR

So I'm looking for a nice non-renting solution for a DVR. I saw the Moxi as a nice solution for HD DVR that takes cable cards, and know that now open cablecards are being issued by cable companies and the like.

Does anyone know about the Moxi?

A buddy of mine works as a service tech for the local cable company and has told me that Moxi boxes are garbage. They have PILES of them in the storage yard at their service location that they have had to take back from customers due to various faults.

That's the other alternative - TiVo is tried and true, but I was wondering if anyone had any in depth knowledge about the Moxi box.
