MR2 Spyder Wheels...Honda ripoff!
As I said in another thread recently, Toyota is at war with Honda and has said they will counter every model Honda releases. They have show recently that they will virtually copy Honda technology now.
Actually, the MR-Spyder looks ok in person, especially in my rear view mirror. =)
Otherwise, its cheap enough for anyone who doesn't need a trunk (1.9 cu ft???) and can't afford the S2K. Gives the Miata a litle run anyways (personally, the Miata is a better buy of the two)

My last car was an MR2 and I was heart broken to hear that they wern't going to make them any more (a couple of years back). Then when I heard they were comming out with a new spyder version and I could not wait. Then I hear that it was going to have NO power!
The older MR2 turbos were quick and looked really good. IMO Toyota screwed up and took away everything the MR2 had. Now the world has 2 different versions of the Miata.

As far as "the price point" is concerned, I looked at one at a dealership just for the hell of it and the guy said they wanted $29K for it, due to it being a "limited edition". Give me a break!
As a Spyder owner, I can tell you that the car is very pleasant to drive, while true, we don't rev to 9k rpms, well.....we don't have to rev to 9k
Coming in at 2200lbs, it's power to weight ratio is decent, and we get a lots of low end (daily driving) grunt as it is
As for the wheels: like it was said before, 5 spoke designs have been around for quite some time now, so if the Spyder copied the S2k, the question that follows is: who did the S2k copy? and of course, that can go on for some time before we discover the original 5 spoke wheels
And as for the trunk, this is all I will say about it.
