Default my cat had to be put to sleep....cancer...

I am pretty sad. We got her "used" about a year ago for free from the animal hospital since someone dumped her there. We think she was roughly 6 years old. She apparently was full of cancer.....which cost $1500 to find out. Poor kitty.

I'm sorry to hear that man. My cat is going to have to be put down soon too for cancer. It's not easy.

You did the right thing Scot. We let one go too long before we had him put to sleep, the cancer was everywhere. It's always hard to see a pet go.

How are the kids taking it?

Hard thing to do... I did the same with a cat/friend I had for almost 17 years. I still have the scare on my heart.

Scot, sorry to hear about your cat. My condolences. My cat had to be put to sleep last year. She had stomach cancer, which really sucked.

Very sorry for your loss, Scot. My kitty - Tasha died last year. She was 21.

I was really bummed for quite a while afterwards.

wow... thanks guys.

We didn't tell the kids yet. They only have a half day of school today, so i figured we would tell them after school.

I am not sure how this thing could have been worse..... cat was lethargic.... took her to the vet...$450 to run some tests.... 24 hours later we get a panic call that we should do the surgery or she may not make it.. $800-$1000 for the surgery..... 1.5 hours later.... she is filled with cancer.... she never wakes up again.

So it cost maximum $ and we didn't even get to say goodbye.
