Just finished Gears Of War and disspointed. The game was WAY too short.
I went from PC games to Console games and beat this game in like 5 hours if not less.

Kind of made me feel


Was I screwed purchasing XBOX360? Was my frind right?
Are all agmes like that?
Should I sell my 360 and get PS3?

Please reply with your opinions.

 

Not all games are as short as GOW. You can always bump up the difficulty settings...

And what makes you think ps3 games will be longer than anything microsoft puts out? I played a ps2 game a while back called the bouncer, I beat it the first time in an hour ten. Went through with the second character in less than an hour. In the third iteration I got through less than 45 minutes. Yes, beat the game 3 times with the 3 different characters in approximately 3 hours.

 

damn, you guys must have some good focus. i can't even play the games i love for 5 hours anymore.

 

Dude, you have to play GoW through three times (each difficulty), complete as many accomplishments as you can (I'm still missing three CoG tags), and then the game is an awesome multi-player experience (co-op or kill 'em all).

To me, we're talking 30+ hours of fun and frustration. Not all games are as short as this though (note Prey is also short).

Try playing GOW on God mode. I bet you won't beat it in 5 hours.

 

I remember that when Need for Speed Underground came out, you had to race approximately 120 times to beat the game. With Need for Speed Carbon, that number has been cut in half. It just shows how greedy video game companies have become. They still charge the same for the game...

 

Yup, try gears of war ALONE on INSANE difficulty. Id be surprised if you beat it within a week.

 

But there is no way I would wanna play a game 3 times over and over. It is BORING. Also hard dificulty kills me because you just die numerous times and that gets ennoying after awhile. How do you guys like that?

On PC I always chose the medium dificulty and play for over 10 hours on all games.

That's why the only console game i can keep playing over and over again and get my moneys worth is gt series, madden, gta series.

those take forever

still on the fence of picking up a 360, am hoping to make a decent profit on this wii i'm trying to sell and than will decide.
