Lightbulb My girlfriends sisters ex-is a moron.

Yea I know its not exactly S2K related, but I died laughing (never really liked him to begin with) when my girlfriend told me, but feel bad at the same time.

He is employed at HERTZ (Will not say which one) and owns a 07 V6 Mustang himself; planning to turbocharge it (lol) . They told him to park the car around the corner. Well, he did, but not before trying to drift the GT-H around the corner into another Hertz rental car and then completely trashing both cars. He then got out of his car and ran into the woods w/o clocking out and an eyewitness saw him. He returned home and the police were waiting for him there.

Can you believe this? I let him drive my s2k and daily driver around a few times unsupervised (He used to grab my keys with out my permission and hijack my car as a joke with my girlfriends sister). He is only 19. When I was that age I did some stupid stuff, but wow.

His parents have money though, so it should be just a little pinch in the wallet. I persoanlly think is all these damn movies about drifting that makes it even worse.

1 GT-H down.

The GT-H is an homage to a classic, the 1966 Shelby gt-h. The "h" is a reference to a special edition Shelby mustang created specifically as a rental for the Hertz company.

It's a shame that he wrecked such a limited edition car (I believe there were only 500 this time around?), but I would not point it towards "drift movies" being the culprit (ever watch any car chase movies from the 60's and 70's? power sliding muscle cars was all the rage). However I am curious how his parents would react to this, the fact that he ran says a lot to his morals and possibly his upbringing.

I also work for Hertz and I can tell you that he was employed there, past tense.

They don't even let us sit in those cars. I tried to pay to rent one and they would not even let me touch it. They don't mess around with those things. They sell them at barett jackson when they are done with them.

The good news is he just drove the value up on the ones that are left.

Nailed it right there.

It amazes me how parents raise their children these days. I know a friend who heard a crash outside his house, some girl had lost control of an SUV (on a straight 30 mph stretch of road) gone across his lawn and smashed his car parked next to his house 80 ft from the road. She then took off, my friend giving chase, and pulled into the garage of a very expensive home.

The parents would not cooperate with the police and open the garage door and hid the daughter. They ended up paying for it, but the cops did not help out any and refused to give the girl a hit and run citation.

I bet the kids parents in this story are douches.

My dad would have kicked my butt in either situation and made me work to pay the damage.
