Yes, I imported the phone from Asia. I believe the US release date is late April. I have T-Mobile as my service provider and the phone uses a SIM card. The best thing about the headset is that it has no cords. And the phone is very expensive.

Current word is a release date of mid-late April, but AT&T/Motorola has been delaying for like a year already... With 2-yr activation, price was supposedly about $299 after rebates. Verizon is CDMA, so the Motorola v600 wouldn't work for them. I have a Kyocera 7135 smartphone, but it's feeling kind of big, and would like the 710.... but because of the delays with the v600, I don't think it'll be ready until the end of the year.

Honestly I can't stand Motorola. Sorry to bash on your new V600 but after using their V300 while waiting for the V600 I decided to not get one. First off, the price on the V600 is ridiculous. With a firmware flash, the V300 is identical in features, sans bluetooth. For an additional $400-$600 what do you get? Bluetooth, an aluminum case, and flashing lights?

Also, Motorola phones have stupid GUIs, are slow in reaction time, and aren't built very well. They have little software intricacies that bug the hell out of me, making me long for my Samsungs/Nokias.

I really wanted that phone a few months back but now I'm glad I didn't pre-order it.

BTW, the battery life is shit on the new V-series.

Nice phone. I just recently updated my Nokia 8260 (yes it's a dinosaur) to the NEC 525. I'm loving the GSM service!!! I looked into getting a few other phones like that one, but I didnt want to spend that much for a phone. Nice though
