These are some drawings that I did back in college (before the stress induced tremors! )
I just got them back from a professor about 2 weeks ago... (he had them for about 6 years- used them as examples for all of his students )
These are just a few of the dozens... These were out of my "sketch" book. I put them in order of earliest... to most recent... to show the improvment over the year...
Good stuff, especially those last two. You need to work on finishing the scenes. I suffered from the same problem when I would sketch. I found myself focusing on a single part of the picture so intently that I would cringe at the thought of finishing the picture and possibly ruining the part I worked so hard on.
whoa, those were amazing. that is a huge improvement. very inspiring, makes me wanna pick up my old charcoal pencils and start doing some sketches again.
just curious, what is it that you do now (your profession)?
I can't draw anymore... due to a Benign Familial Tremor I developed from a late life growth spurt (about a 1/2") my Junior year in college. My hands shake moderately now... and it disallowed me to continue drawing...
I've had many pieces win traveling and local shows... about 3 pieces I have yet to get back... Many people were banking on me my whole life to do something with Art... but nature decided otherwise. The improvement seen there was just from my understanding of the contours of the human body- and how they are transposed and reflected on a 1-dimensional object... I can always see it... it just took time to draw it!
