My S2000 Attacked me.
The other day I was getting out my S2K and when I was closing the door !!JAMMED!! my thumb in between. I didn't make a sound, I was kind of in shock, turned really red & started sweating. With in an hour the nail turned blue and I was on 600mg of ibuprofen with no noticeble results. By next morning I was in so much pain from the swelling and blood pressure underneath the nail I took a hot needl and made a hole in the nail to release the pressure... that helped allot. But by the end of the night back in some serrious egony.
Its christmas morning, my thumb is TWICE the size of the other one, I can feel my heartbeat throuh it and man o man does it hurt. I am kicking my self that I never followed up with my health insurance and why i never received the card. I am debating if i should go to the emmergency room or just take the pain.
ARGH... help me out guys, whats my next step? & yes ive been icing.
After meds and bleeding slowed down.
I was getting into my car once whilst the car was in a tight spot. I squeezed myself in and as I lowered myself in, I jammed my eye into the top of the window. I thought I was gonna be blind or something.

I'd have driven to an urgent care center right away. Do not delay.

Back.... They said Good job on the hole. But it got infected probably afterwords because it wasnt sterilized. Thats why its so inflamed and painfull. Xray showed no broken bone, they gave me antibiotics (Cephalexin 500mg, 4 times a day for 7 days) and pain killers (Naproxen 500mg 1 tablet twice a day) I beged for painkillers. She said she wont give me VIKs or Perks. Damn u!!!
She said to keep the hole in the nail open, its been 2 hours and it's bleeding like crazy non stop. Has to be infected or some.
End result. $260 spent on a stupid thumb. Ogh and hour driving around looking for open pharmacy on Christmas day.
