My Volcano finally arrived!
Well I finally went ahead and ordered a Volcano vaporizer. There were a couple of different products on the market but this one blew them away by far. I did quite a bit of research and decided to finally take the plunge on the Volcano. Everyone sold them for like $600 and up but I got mine off Ebay for $450 with shipping included.
Well it finally arrived on Friday afternoon when I got home from work. I set it up and this thing is amazing. It is all medical equipment grade materials and and is very simple to operate. There is a small heater inside the unit which is adjustable but I just found the best setting at 7 and keep it there permanently. Basically it heats up whatever herb you want to smoke and fills an oven bag with the vapor. Once it is filled up you turn off the compressor and take off th ebag and attach a valve to it that lets you inhale the smoke in the bag without losing it.
The best thing about vaporizers is that they heat up the herb so you can inhale all of the active ingredients (nicotine, thc, etc) without combustion (which creates cancer-causing carcinogens). The vapor is quite cool and virtually eliminated all coughing. I do get a dry throat after a couple of bags but nothing a drink can't solve real quick.
Also, I find myself using a lot less herb then with a bong or joint to get teh same effect and even go as far to say that it is a much better and more intense high then the standard way of smoking with fire.

b) why do i need help? i smoke weed just 3-4 times a week. quit smoking ciggs a while ago and never will go back to that shit. if i can reduce the negative effects of smoking weed then i will do that. the most dangerous aspect of smoking weed is the cancer causing carcinogens released by the high temps that occur during the combustion (what happens when you use a lighter). A vaporizer elimates all that nasty shit going into your lungs. so i need help because i am making an active decision to do an activity, that i will do anyway, healthier? ok.....
c) how am i going down in flames? the whole point of a vaporizer is to NOT use flames. yes i realize you probably didnt meant that but who the fck knows what you meant anyways
so....any other poorly formulated and negative comments you wish to spew from your under-developed brain?

I have the Vapor Brothers vaporizer, which doesn't sound nearly as nice. 
I rarely use mine, though. It was pretty cool at first and the taste is awesome, but after a while, I just got tired of the time it took to warm up, and the fact that it isn't portable. The tiny bowl didn't help, either.
In my case, though, I get a much more intense high from traditional means of smoking.
