Default MySpace Drama

I asked you guys what social networks you were on recently, but here's my new question. Am I the only one that has been bit by unnecessary drama from these sites? I have had exes look me up, and old high school/college friends, all of which I thought I had left in my past. While it was kind of fun catching up, I found a lot of these old friends added unwanted drama into my life.

I'm sure it's a great way to hook up with strange women, or old flames, but if you aren't interested in any of that, it seems like a drama magnet.

Just thought I would see if there are any stories or opinions like mine out there.

personally, i still see most of the people from my past that i care to see. the people who would likely find me on myspace or facebook or whatever are most likely people i don't care to have any more contact with. that's one reason i don't have accounts in places like that.

No drama, but agree with the reconnecting with people I really don't care about. If I cared, I wouldn't have fallen out of touch with em.

That said, it's cool to see which of my old friends from my nerdy little school days turned out to be hot now

I AM the only one in the world who doesn't have a Myspace account. Don't need it, don't care for it.

I don't have a myspace account either.

Most of that stupid website is just a bunch of slutty 13 year olds trying to be emo with the stupid ass sideways pictures, naked pictures (NO a 13 year old is not hot ), etc. Everygirl my friends meet from myspace end up being screwed up in some way or another causing unnecessary drama.

Like I said before, I have one for my Music stuff (professional). My ex-gf tried getting on there (under a fake account), and I just didn't accept her.

YOu can set everything to private so I don't see a real problem...you can easily filter them out.

I think sites like MySpace and Facebook are great for social networking. Basically all my friends can talk to me while they're at work , but I only have people listed as friends that I actually talk to regularly - people with 5,000 friends doesn't make sense to me. I've also found some people I lost touch with, and its easy to send out mass invite for parties and events.

Those sites are as useful as you make them.
