Sounds like you are on a defense team of a court case looking for reasonable doubts.
You know, I'd been thinking about going to law school.

Well, the way I see it:

1. They're paid to sweat. And they do that a lot even outside of the games.

2. They're big guys, loose clothing is more comfortable.

3. What do you care? I think everyone has their own choice as to what to wear. Let them be

"David Stern should get with the mothers of the NBA and let the moms decide what the dress code should be," O'Neal said. "I asked my mother if I could wear a chain, and she told me yeah. So I do stuff that my parents allow me to do." - Shaq

Here's another example why I think Shaq is one of the dumbest mofo in the world. He is "working" for the NBA, not his parents. The NBA is paying him millions and allowed him the oppty to make millions more on endorsement, not his parents. His mother could not raise a child to speak a full sentence without intermission, much less making decisions for a multi-billion industry. NBA, as his employer, has the right to dictate the appropriate work wardrobe within reason.

He is 7 foot tall but has mental capacity and maturity of a 6 yo. I swear to God if it wasn't for sports he'd be moving furnitures. He's giving pro athletes a bad name.

Vader1's point is right on the money.. The NBA is simply not racist for trying to clean up their act.. There are plenty of white people dressing thug too....

I agree 100% with his post, its downright lazy for someone who makes millions upon millions, who cant read and who probably cant write more than their own autograph to contest dressing like professionals... I think they should think more about where they came from and where theyd be if it wasnt for the NBA....

Theyd be taking out my trash.

Think of it this way, isnt it ridiculous for the guy sitting in his bentley at a redlight beside the busstop looking the same way if not worse than the people waiting for the bus? Is that the image you would want for your company, your employees??

What kind of rep do you think your own company would get if you had people lookin like that?

BTW - In response to my first post, who ever called a white person a n*gger??? noone... the term is racist and it describes a lazy blackperson who thinks everything should be handed to him because he was born into a family where their front door is a hole in the wall and the air conditioning is the bullet holes in the window....

On a related note, I think we can all agree that the "N" word is unacceptable, but you have to wonder why black people call each other by the "N" word. They say it to each other when they meet, say it in rap songs, etc. Yet they get upset if a non black person else uses the word. Something to think about.

Apparently black people (warning: generalization ahead...this will not hold true in ALL cases) make a distinction between nig*er (racial slur) and nig*a (rap song/greeting/term of endearment/whatever else). I guess it all comes down to context.

As an example, if I were to use the slang "sick" to describe some custom part of your car, it would be a compliment of sorts. If I were to use "sick" to describe you after you kicked a puppy, it would be an (accurate) insult.

Nig*er vs. nig*a is a much more charged word, but from what I can tell, it follows the same form. Also, from what I udnerstand, people are less offended or not offended at all when even non-blacks use nig*a, but that's probably very dependent on who hears it and what they think of the word nig*a.
