looks really simple but frustrating to solve

at first count it's 12 people, then after the "shift" it's 13 people, the "shift" occurs again and it's 12 people.

How did they do it?

after some time, I finally got the answer.

I thought it was really fun

 

this isnt one of those 'shock scare' bull shit things is it? i stopped it after about 5 secs.... Seems like it is a good settup for one. -_-

 

OK, youre gonna have to tell me how cuz I'm gonna lose it. I count 12, then 13, then 12 again. I've been trying to figure out where the 13th comes into play but I'm tired
