I liked Choke and Survivor by Chuck his books are diff.

I like Jeff Lindsey's books about Dexter.

Dexter by Design
Darkly Dreaming Dexter

all pretty good in my book.
I like the Dexter books also. The last two not as much as the first two.

I also like Christopher Moore. My favorite has been "A Dirty Job".

"Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story" was also pretty good, as was "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff".

I'm kinda surprised about all the chuck fans reporting in.

how about bret eston ellis? philip k dick? robert heinlein? orson scott card?

one of my favorites as of late has been william h gass, but that's probably not what you're looking for....

The last piece of literature I read was, It Feels So Good When I Stop by Joe Pernice.

Pernice started off as a songwriter. Arguably one of the best newer songwriters in the last 10-15 years. . .

. . . the book plays out like one of his songs; utterly depressing, but very satisfying.

?

as far as recommendations, A Scanner Darkly is one of my favorite books...

the only books of ellis I read were American Psycho and Less than Zer0. I kinda view him like I do chuck.... shock authors...

heinlein wrote Starship Troops (yes, like the movie, but more military culture oriented), but his better book was Stranger in a Strange Land (which is more hippy culture, strangely enough).

david sedaris does some great stuff... I like his story structure...

I've read almost everything Heinlein wrote but for some reason I can't get TANSTAAFL out of my head from "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress."
