Default Need some technical/business help...

So I'm in the insurance business, we specialize in Medicare Advantage plans as well as medicare supplements, health and life insurance. Myself and two of my coworkers who are in their late 40s are going to go out on our own. My responsibility is the technical aspect of the business. What we need is a 1-800 number. Which I've found online. I need phone call recording software which I've found online. What I need now is phone software where we can set up phone menus as well as extensions. Since the 1-800 number charges by the minute, what I'm looking for is a program that will make a new call to whatever the local number of our virtual office from home is.

So it starts with us calling lead that we purchased, maybe we sell them or maybe they have to call us back.

They call back the 1-800 number, then they go through about a minute of menu and then they want to reach my extension which is 101. Now when they dial 101, I need it to call my local 727 area code and disconnect the old number therefore only charging us for a local call. Not sure if they have something like that but maybe? If not, a $100 for a 1-800 line isn't that bad either....

Any ideas guys?

I've done tons of phone system research and even with hosted (equipment at a provider's facility) VOIP options none of them will switch an open call to a non-toll line. They all seem to keep the original call open and use a second line to connect to a local number so the result is the same cost, and in some cases, additional cost to transfer a call on to that second line you've opened.

Best option I've found for toll-free has been VOIP-based stuff with the costs being relatively low.

Unfortunately there are very few ways, if any, to have a national phone presence with out either the caller or the recipient (you) paying for the call.

i found this as my best option... unfortunately it doesn't do that function that i'm looking for so we'll just have to buck up and pay. here's the site i found. looks pretty good.

http://virtualpbx.com

It does pretty much everything i'm looking for at a relatively low cost.
