have any of you guys/gals picked up need for speed underground(nfsu)?
i have and it is amazing,imo,
the graphics are great and the sound is awesome, and the response w/ the controller is great, hehe i sound like im trying to sell it to you guys.
right now i have a civic and i riced it out
im waiting to switch my civic with the s2k, but i have to unlock it first, that should be fun. i raced an s2k in a drag race event, and the s2k quickly got away from me and the other racers, must be the vtec
but anyway for those of you that have the game, what do you think of it and what did you chose for your first car?

 

I rented it. I too have a riced out yellow civic with a cf hood. It is fun but it seems you can drift a FF car just as easy as a rear wheel drive car. Tell me how long it takes to get the S2000 when you get one.

 

i love the game, im on race 102 of 111 and have gotten all the level 3 upgrades and yada yada. I got an S on the game had to put a lot of garbage on it to get style points. As soon as I beat all the races I'm gonna build it clean and stomp all the body kitted out mobiles.

 

I played it with a friend the other day. The rice factor is off the charts. It's like you have to mod the shit out of the exterior to get respect points and then you work on the engine... ??? I thought it was the other way around in real life.

i found out when the s2k is unlocked, i looked around on different forum type things for the game, and it is unlocked at like 70, the skyline is unlocked at 80, just incase you were wondering..

but yeah, i agree there is too much rice, but its kinda funny/fun, i dont really mind rice for the most part, sure its looks and sounds fugly, but i dunno, i find it intresting to see what people do to their cars, even if it is rice, it still is fun i guess...

 

I haven't picked up the game yet. I am too busy with PGR2 and Prince of Persia right now. I will most likely get it by the end of the week for PS2 since that one is online. Any of you guys play it online?

 

I really like the game! Who cares if it's "ricey".. it's a video game! It's not real people, no one's gonna look down on you for making a ricey civic.

And besides.. all making your car ricey does is unlock more ricey mods. You get the performance parts regardless as you progress through the game, so go ahead and leave your car totally stock looking.. you wont' be at any disadvantage.

Right now i'm diggin the Nissan 240. It's the drift king!

Oh and I'm assuming I speak for all that have played it when I say "Traffic SUCKS".

i demo'd it at a store and didn't like it. too fake IMO. i like games that offer a realistic driving experience, like gt/gt2/gt3,etc. i can't wait till gt4 comes out, that will blow away every other car game out.
