Need A Tv
They are a little more expensive than other brands, but if you go rear projection go Mitsubishi and stay away from Sony.
For tubes Sony is a good brand, but their rear projections have crummy pictures by comparison.
Best Buy can give you a decent deal on mid -level TV's but I usually shop at a place chain called Ultimate Electronics (formerly Audio King) and sells more high end stuff. Don't know if they are in your region.
If you are buying a big tv, looking for a good deal is great and all, but I would pay a little extra for picture quality. Nothing is worse than a big, lousy picture just because you wanted to save $50 over a really good brand.
I bought a platinum series Mitsu 55 inch HDTV and love it. It is obviously bulkier than plasma'a but the picture is just as clear and bright as any 1080i plasma I have seen. My neighbor has the Mitsu 60 inch and it is huge and still has a fantastic picture. They make a 73 inch with a pretty good picture too ,but it is way too huge for most rooms.
