How about Vegas

Hawaii would be great if you can afford it; plenty of walking can be done and some amazing beaches. Otherwise you could do the typical Florida, SoCal, etc.

Normally I'd recommend NYC, but in a month it'll be unbearably cold for anyone to just 'walk' around. It's too bad you couldnt be here this week because the weather has been unseasonably warm - 40's with bright sunshine. Alas, it's not really a great place to just 'vegetate'. You may require a vacation to recover from NYC

Hawaii (Oahu) is nice, but I think it's a 7 hour flight from Vegas. Why not go somewhere closer? Cabos? Cancun? Cozumel? The latter two you'll be able to find some really great deals due to Hurricane Wilma. We were there for the xmas-nye week and they were up to about 75%. They also need the $$! In a month, these places should be ramping up for the spring breakers, you may still be able to get a good deal.

If you're into snowboarding/skiing, go to Whistler! 5 days out in BC is just enough time to have a blast. Rent a chalet with hot tub! If you do go, I emplore you to check out Fernie as well.
