Default Needed: Cheap Legal Advice

I'd appreciate a comment from any of the lawyers here; the real kind, not the armchair variety.

After several years of analysis I've come up with a pretty reliable method for deciding how to place bets on sporting events. By "pretty reliable" I mean that I could consistantly win in bets against the house despite the premium (10:11 odds) they charge.

I talked with a friend of mine about the possibility of setting up a web-based business to market the results. ("Caesar's has St. Louis by 9 at Minnesota; which team should I pick?" "Choose Minnesota, with a 63.2% chance of beating the spread; that'll be $2 please.)

His question: Could I run afoul of any laws by doing this? In particular, would prohibitions against gaming apply to giving advice about potential wagers? I'd think not, but he suggested that seeking a lawyer's opinion would be a good idea.

Feel free to PM a response, and don't be shy about suggesting that I should pay for the legal advice before it's given.

Opinions about the viability of such a venture are welcome as well.

Thanks!
