Or just the clutch disk.

I know from the Mustang community, some drag racers need to run scattershield bellhousings. The idea being, with how the drivetrain is oriented in a car like that, if the clutch blows, it could go through a regular bellhousing and floorboard, then says hello to your feet/lower legs.

^theres a video of a firbird doing the same thing--blowing a flywheel. I think its because it probably have stress fractures from them being idiots earlier...and just holding the slipping clutch = lots of heat = material rips apart
