Default The new 10 Commandments?

Found some of it entertaining.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/AUTOS/06/19/vatica...reut/index.html

They called Italy "motor-mad Italy"

Those be fighting words.....

"Praying while driving was encouraged."

Yea, i'll be sure to use that excuse the next time I get pulled over..... "I was praying your honor....."

I love this quote:

It appealed to what it called the "noble tendencies" of the human spirit, urging responsibility and self-control to prevent the "psychological regression" often associated with driving.
If (the majority of) humans have noble tendencies, we surely wouldn't be needing laws of any sort. For a Christian religion, the idea that humans have "noble tendencies" should be a farcical notion notion at best.

We could inspire others to pray by driving like (pun intended) holy terrors.

Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony....Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you....Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away."
Absolutely one of the best lines in any movie ever. I still crack up every time I read/hear/see it.

Monty Python was a favorite with the engineering faculty at my school.

The document's Fifth Commandment reads: "Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin".
that's it. I'm officially a bad Catholic
