Brad Pitt or George Clooney are "movie stars"; Billy Crystal is a comedic genius who can do it all. I have no opinion of REM.

Silver,
IMHO, there are some songs that have the feel of their late eighties stuff, there is one that leaves me feeling that it should have belonged on ULTRA, and the majority of the CD reminds me of Songs of Faith and Devotion.
However, the more I listen to it the more I find itself unique rather than the DM'like stuff I'm used to.

Will probably pick it up anyway, just to be a completist, and listen to it secretly if I have to.
Like I said,
the more I listen to it, the more it sounds like its own unique album. As far as your view on Faith and Devotion CD, I used to agree when I first picked it up.
After I went to the concert (three times!!!), I ended up listening to the CD alot more and ended up liking it a lot more. It is one of my more favorite DM CD's at the moment. However, my moods are so fickle when I pick up their older CD's.
Back to the new one, I downloaded all the songs but I still went out and bought the CD. If I had to do it again, I'd still buy the CD, it worth the buy. <----It's a must have in the DM collection....however, my collection consists of EVERYTHING they've released in North America as well as a pretty healthy collection of imported stuff.
If and when they go on tour for this album, I will be the first one in line trying to get good tickets....if for nothing else but to hear some of their old stuff....I'd be there.

Luder, you might want to start now on getting tickets to this summer's tour. Tickets for the San Antonio show went on sale a few weeks ago and I would assume that most shows are already on sale. I have 10th row tickets and I am really looking forward to it. Good luck in finding some good tickets!
