the 2 secretaries in my office talk loudly all the livelong day. one to anyone who will listen, the other to anyone who will listen + herself. unfortunately, my office door stays open all day, and they both wander in and out of it constantly, talking, opening and closing file drawers as loudly as they possibly can, or singing. seemingly, they wait until i get on the phone. or buzz my office to ask me if i saw american idol or dancing with the stars. every time they come in my office i email my production manager in the back to get his two moms out of my office!

sometimes they come in and start off with "i know you don't know the answer to this, and it probably don't matter, but i was just curious..."

forget them going postal, one day i'm going to go postal

 

is there anyone out here that get along with their co-workers or client 99.9% of the time or in the back of our head. they are SO FREAKING WEIRD!!!??

my co-workers talk about the same thing everyday!?
typical conversation would involve social activities like i had me 4-5 bottles of beer. hows the party? clubbing was fun? "im like wth, you have like 2-3 kids at home, at the age of 25-30, still doing that?"

for male or female at their early 20's, talked about kids? while i still dreamt of driving a lambo and travel to exotics location!?

thats why i come to work blind-folded!!! hahaha

Dude, textbook case of "Ugly/Annoying Friend Syndrome".

Every clique of friends has that one annoying/ugly/stupid person that everybody else complains about and constantly wonder why you hang out with them. If you don't, it's you. Applicable to office cliques.

 

only person that really gets on my nerves is my boss. he likes to leave work around lunch or so and hang out at the bar. he fired a guy for being at the bar during work hours after my boss told him how to "get away with it".

he's also kinda slow, but thinks he know's everything. one time he asked our IT guy to alphabetize an excel spreadsheet because he could do it faster than him. lol.

there's an admin girl that works up front too that is always falling asleep. pretty funny when she's nodding off but still typing away at her computer. she's always reffered to the girl thats on drugs when customers metion her answering the phone. she's kinda odd.

 

^.., that boss is an a-hole! most of them arent that great anywhere..,

that chick needs some rockstar energy drink or she must be having way.. to many late night encounters! :-P

our secretary...everytime you give her work you get the *sigh* like "oh man, i have to do something? talks on the phone constantly with friends and family about her dogs and her mother in a nursing home, and when you have something important to give her or you need done, she pays no attention to you. each engineer makes a weekly word document of all the work we have to do, she puts it all into one for the boss...we turn it in Wednesday morning...she completes it usually by Thursday afternoon. when she's not here, i do it and it takes me 15 minutes.

our electrical engineer and #2 in the office is in retirement mode, but he doesnt plan to retire for another 3-5 years. really he's pissed that the company took away the 401k matching for employees who have been here like 25 years. he "works through lunch"...yeah right...so he can leave at noon every friday. he pawns his work off on everyone else and if you go in his office, he just sits at the computer all day...not a single piece of paper on his desk. on top of that, he is the biggest egomanic. he's never wrong and won't admit it even if we prove it.

our CAD draftsman who is worse at CAD and computers than any engineer here. we dont even give him work any more cuz we can do it better ourselves. he makes spreadsheets and documents in CAD instead of Excel or Word...what an idiot. the boss now has him spend most of his day arranging time cards and doing busy work. the guy's wife is literally crazy...in and out of psych hospitals. i used to sit next to him and he'd call her at lunch everyday and ask her...no joke..."how are the voices?" his life sucks, he can't sleep at night, and he doesnt want to be home, so he used to come into work at 4:30 in the morning and get 2-1/2 hours of OT each day until the boss told him to stop, so the guy hates our boss now. haha.
