So im planning a renovation project of my dads old garage. Its located on a piece of property he owns a few miles from my house. The garage is basically a machine shed right now with four bays. Three of the bays are used for hay storage and have large sliding doors. The fourth garage bay has a traditional style garage door and was at one point in time a actual shop complete with a lift built in the floor and outside a underground fuel storage tank. I will need to source a compressor to operate the lift and other air powered tools but before all of that, I need to do some mild renovations to the inside of the building to get it ready. Nothing major just some new paint on the walls and some new ceiling tiles. Im thinking of doing some cool mural/graffiti design on one of the walls and also hanging some car banners or something. Also I need a new garage door opener and some light fixtures. After I finish with this stuff I can start buying some tools! Anyway, what I really need to know is what are basic tools every shop should have? Im not looking for anything crazy. Just looking for input. Any suggestions on cool stuff that I can do to the garage are also welcome! I will post up pics of the place as soon as I can. Im prolly heading up sometime tomorrow after I finish up my christmas shopping haha.
ALSO
I have enough space to kinda turn this place into a decent "lounge" haha. Maybe a leather sofa or something and a TV. Also thinking of installing a sound system so I can jam out with my ipod while I chill / work on the car. Nice thing is, the place has power to it so possibilities are unlimited!
