i dont know if i like it. i seen it while ago but never got to test it.
i still love and very very good with my M4. I customize it to my taste. So nice.

The M4 is a great weapon...I love it myself, but if the XM8 really comes out performing like they hope it will be a good change for soldiers. The clean gas system and being able to do almost all repair/cleaning/customizing without tools are huge advantages.

My only concern is the barrel length...cause from what I understand about the current 5.56 cartridge is that it needs a longer barrel to acheive the desired velocity for good performance...I'd like to hear what HK's stance is on that.
