I think that they should go back to the buffalo nickle with the Native American on the front. We stole all their land, we could at least honor them.

Actually, check out the hand on the right side - it's a Native American hand. Don't forget the peace pipe and hatchet on the coin, too.

So, they already have a new nickel commenerating the Native Americans - this one.

I am thinking that the Government is trying to justify the money spent on the currency/mint/etc. with all these redesigns. I am guessing there are not a lot of people out there counterfeiting the nickel.
