New NSX Type S
>>>NSX = OVERPRICED and underpowered for the price IMO.<<<
Bayarea408,
I would suggest that you think twice before you through out a comment like that. . .
There are MANY people that think the S2000 is overpriced & underpowered (i.e., Camaro SS owners, Pontiac Trans Am/Firebird owners, some Mustang owners, etc.).
But, a car isn't about power alone. . . When you take in consideration that the NSX is an aluminum, mid-engine, 3.2L V-6 (that puts out 290Hp), 0-60 in 4.8 car with stellar handling, and everyday drivability and reliability, the true nature of the car begins to show. . .
Yes, you can buy a Vette, Viper, used Supra TT, etc. that has more power and faster 0-60 & 1/4 mile times. However, as with the non-turbo Carrera 2 and 4, the NSX represents a complete sports car for significantly less money and aggrevation than any Ferrari. . .
Whereas I think the Vette (especially Z06) is a BARGAIN, it still doesn't offer the "exotic" look or style of the NSX. . .
Just something to think about. . .

I totally agree with Iceman. If someone thinks only in terms of hp, then many cars are not worth their price. However, there is value (in the eyes of the beholder) in some intangible aspects as well as some tangible but not easily measured attributes of a car.
