Very nice,,,you gonna race it? There were a few guys around here that were racing the PE, but they have all switched to the new E-Revo. Seems most of the club level racing is going Lipo/Brushless nowadays.

Yeah ok...I've even converted my 8th scale to BL...sue me.

So what mill ya gonna put in it? TM? TZ?

I don't plan on racing it. just something to take to an open field or construction site

no plans on modding it. I'm content with the engine it has.

Nice - I love the sound and smell of nitro. I'm sure it will be a blast bashing at the park but the Platinum Edition is made for competition. Kind of like how s2k's are ok on the street but made for a track. You might want to tweak the suspension to give you more ground clearance and maybe change those tires for something more all-purpose oriented. It looks like the Platinum Edition sits about inch lower than a standard Revo 3.3, and those stock tires are made for hard-packed groomed track conditions - they don't hook up well in loose dirt.

Either way- have fun and enjoy your new toy!

If you do have a local track you should at least try it out. See if they have a practice night when you could just go make some laps to at least get a feel for it.
Just remember- if you suck and people see you; they will think no less of you. We all start out as poor drivers.
