New windows phone 7. What's your opinion?
I'm about to get a new phone. No iPhone 4. I had my mind fixed on getting Android, but now with WP7 coming out, I don't know if I should be the guinea pig and give it a try lol.
I guess I'm just asking what are you guys' opinions on WP7?

nope..... I wouldnt. After watching several videos on technical specs and capabilities... IMO it just doesnt really seem like anything revolutionary.

No reason to get WP7 over a top Android device IMO unless you realllly want xbox or top notch office integration. It doesn't do anything new, or better.. HUBs are annoying, the tile homescreen is underpowered (widgets that don't actually widget).
I know several people that switched from iphones and droids that love it. I had a droid, got rid of it after a month, will never look back.
It is not "another failed MS product", don't listen to the Apple fanbois that spend most of their time on their knees in front of Wozniak.

Impressive? sure.
Some of the apps and games look pretty slick to me.

IMHO the playing field is getting pretty even. I have an iPhone 4 now but I could be perfectly happy with it, or a WP7, or maybe even an Android phone.
If you're a corporate user and need great Exchange/Office support, or an Xbox gamerscorewhore those would be good reasons to go WinPhone.
Fine then, pass up the better options like Android and get yourself a MS phone. It will look great in the drawer next to your Zune and other failed Windows Mobile phones with different non-useful GUIs slapped on front of them.
Also, notice which fanbois mentioned Apple - it wasn't me, but those that actually buy crap like Kins... The WP7 OS was designed to standards that are 2 years old now.

WTF are you jabbering about?
I dunno about you guys but my needs from a phone are:
1. E-mail, contacts, and calendar must work perfectly with Exchange servers (WinPhone wins)
2. Great browser (iPhone wins)
3. UI is super responsive and pleasant to use (iPhone wins)
4. Good apps are a nice-to-have, but I don't really care if I don't have Angry Birds (I don't care enough to feel like anyone wins, but probably iPhone)
Basically all the major smartphones on the market except for Blackberry do this now. I have an iPhone 4 because it was the best at what it does when I bought it. Frankly if I had to buy a new phone today it would probably be a WinPhone just because proper Exchange sync is super important to me. The iPhone doesn't play that well with my Exchange server -- well enough to work, but badly enough that if something significantly better comes along I'll jump ship.
Brand loyalty and brand aversion will only hurt you. I'd sell my S2k for a GM if they made something that worked for me, and I'd switch from Colgate to Crest if I thought it made a difference.
