Sweet! 2 of my favorite species. That being said...

...good luck. I LOVE rays but they make maintenance such a damn issue. Ammonia FTL.

Arowanas are fun, and I'm probably stating the obvious here, but make sure your lid is securely attached. One of those bastards cost me a couple hundred bucks in shattered bulbs. I ended up using packing tape in addition to the glass top and 4 double-tube fixtures.

I love getting arowanas at that size. They grow faster than anything else I've had.

Jeggy, it's a 135 gallon. I would have loved to get a red aro, but they go for $600 plus.

Drew, what did you feed yours? I got mine yesterday. He ate 2 ghost shrimp, but hasn't ate anything today. There is still ghost shrimp in there and I've thrown krill and black worms in. Maybe he just needs time to adjust.
