Default Next evolution of banner technology

We've all seen banners on forums and other sites.

These guys have created a banner that will somehow make you purchase products: http://www.trustbanners.com

Pretty interesting...

Idk - i looked at the Apple AND the pepsi and had no desire to purchase either. I really like apples and try to have atleast one a day, but still no desire to buy them. With the pepsi, well, I don't like pepsi and have always enjoyed coke more.* So, idk if this is real or not, but I think it'd be sorta illegal if used >.>...

* - for those saying coke and pepsi taste a like... No, no, they don't.

It says that the dots flicker 90 times a second, but most computer monitors, and pretty much every LCD is running at 60 Hz. I call BS.

Does Australia participate in April fools' day? Even if not, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of someone setting this up.
