Italy scored on itself!!!!! They scored all the points what a crazy game. Itally really doesnt look good, I have a bad feeling the Czech will be pissed off and take itally out. Italy has to win and U.S has to beat ghana by a certain # of goals to win I think.

The ref was a little over-zealous BUT; the Mastroeni challenge was bloody appalling (I've seen legs broken by similar) and Pope knew he was on yellow when he went in hard just after the break. De Rossi apologised after the game for the elbow to McBride.

I agree though, with 11 players USA looked like they could win, they played with a lot of heart and can hold their heads up. Donovan was awesome, even the Italians commented about his performance afterwards.

Agreed, Pope pulled some boneheaded moves and got what he deserved. Definitely a better game than the Czech game though.

U.S. looks very weak this time around. They're not going far in this W.C. Brazil and Germany always seem strong.

a lot of people were upset at the ref throwin cards all over the place, but i think he did a good job, that was an aggressive game, right from the first minute. he let it go for a while, but i understand the need to keep some people in line, its a sport about finesse, not shoving.
