alright so i was watching this special on Ninjas on the discovery channel and it seemed like the biggest pro ninja propaganda piece i have ever seen and most likely ever will. They bashed the samurai numerous times and it didnt seem like a fair comparison so i was hoping some people here knew about either or and could enlighten me as to the pros and cons of each or what thier different roles were in history thanks...

Bushido has my favor over ninja anyday of the week as far as honor and way of life but as far a death dealing I think they are pretty equal.

Ninja may have more ways to kill an enemy though

 

IMO, fighting unfairly has the edge. Give me a back-stabbing assassination over a face-to-face fight any day. But ninjas probably don't get invited to many parties...

 

Honestly, anyone really involved in the the true practice of martial arts will never say style X is always better then style Y. They all have different parts to them and it really boils down to the skills of the fighter. IMO regaurdless of style, the 'better' fighter is going to win.

That being said, to play along with the thread.....I dont know of any ninja 'styles' but the Kung Fu I'm taking now shares some moves with samurai's tradition, I gotta back up what I'm taking
