Any body else got em? I have the Team Associated TC3. I'm working on putting on the s2000 body. I'm gonna make it look like my car. I'm still trying to decide whether I should cut the top or leave it on. Post some pics if you can.
I have an NTC3 with a JP modified Novarossi S5 with a yellow S2000 body...but one warning sleepy.the S2000 body by HPI i think is a 190mm body so it's a bit less wide then the 200mm body made for nitro car...your wheels will stick out. Also....don not cut the top....it will make the body really weak..I have tried it and it ripped in two days.....if you were going to use it for a concourse body it will look fine......
You can fit the HPI S2000 body on a 200mm nitro car if you shave the rear hex adapter down a few mm. Keep the top on unless you plan on installing the concours interior set. Paint the roof on the outside with satin paint to simulate the soft top.
wow... s2ka, thats nice. i was checking out the 200mm body they had. at first i wanted a celica, so my wife could relate to it (shes got a gt-s) but the body was 190mm. the s2000 is a good project. great idea on painting the roof on the outside.
mindcore: that ofna is off the hook. sometimes i wish i would have gotten an offroad r/c because you can run them anywhere but parking lots are enough for me.
Elistan: i used to have the HPI super nitro. that thing was fast for out of the box (w/ 2 speed). it was my first nitro car so i had problems with tuning it. if it wasnt one thing, its another. one thing i noticed (maybe its just me), you can hear the shift better in the HPI than with the Team Associated.
i cracked my front left rim today (first time) when i ran into a wall. ive been having problems with my engine and it decided to have a sudden surge of power out of the blue and before i knew it, BAM! oh well, the hobby shop is 5 minutes away. ill put that on my to do list.
If you had a sudden surge of power then BAM!! then you probably had a hole in your fuel line, or another leak somewhere infront of the engine..it leaned out to much..put out mad power probably came close to 300 degrees. its happend to me...the price you pay for an expensive hobby..next step is a melted engine.
Dont't run it again..untill you fix the problem...or did you just run out of gas? they usualy go like stink the last second when they run dry.
I have about 2500 bucks into my offroad car allready..sad....
