Cool

I am more impressed by the mirrors in the first video....Did they withstand the barbell being thrown at them and not break or was it just my eyes not seeing the breakage while the camera panned to follow the asshat?

The no grunting thing is absurd. dont like the sounds of a gym?, buy some nautilus machines and fill up your garage. People are ridiculous. whats next??? no sweating or breathing. Nothing more than 3 reps at 15 lbs....dont want to offend anyone

I'm all for the "No Grunting" thing... to an extent. Some people do it just to make it sound like they're working hard when really they're not. I've seen guys grunt while bench pressing 185lbs. Seriously, guy... if you're struggling with 185lbs, you don't want to be calling attention to yourself. Some people do it just out of habit... like the tennis players that yell/grunt when they hit the ball.

I don't have a problem with people pushing hard when working out, and when they do, they might grunt a little. That's fine. But when it's just gratuitous (and extremely loud), it gets on my nerves.

Yeah, the grunting thing is ridiculous. We need a stupid alarm to go with the lunk alarm!

My neighbor across the street co-owns 2 planet fitness locations and their philosophy is to not be like the average gym with all the meatheads grunting and throwing their weights down. Try to make it less intimidating for people that aren't all buff or in great shape. I don't see what the big deal is. If he wants to be like that then go find another gym.

Then he needs to deal with the rules. Nobody's forcing him to work out at that one gym. If he does it because it's cheaper then he's choosing to save money and deal with rules he may not like.
