There are many words that have no rhyme in the English language. "Orange" is only the most famous. Other words that have no rhyme include: silver, purple, month, ninth, pint, wolf, opus, dangerous, marathon, and discombobulate.

BTW, you cannot lick your elbow.
I tried

How do "forceps" and "forestall" sound similar?
Using your definition of "rhyme":

A rhyme is a repetition of identical or similar sounds in two or more different words . . . .
The identical sound "for" is repeated in both words.

(Yes, I'm being difficult. That's why I suggested that we first settle on the definition of rhyme: it isn't as easy as it - forgive me - sounds.)

"For" isn't a sound, here. It's a syllable that happens to be part of a word, which is the sound.

This is getting tiresome.

I actually agree with the occasionally a bit overly techinical magician on this one. Whether two words rhyme or not seems to be arguable, I don't know the specific definition myself.

Note that, in fact, "nothing" doesn't rhyme with "orange".

My favorite post in this thread is the person asking if Magician is in third grade.

I've heard that nothing doesn't rhyme with orange, but Magician really does bring up a good point and this really makes you think.
