Now here is somthing you don't often find on a highway....
I was driving from Denver to St Louis this past Sunday (in the S2000, great highway cruiser if not a bit too loud) when I came upon this just outside of Salina Kansas...

Nice. I've driven from San Antonio to St. Louis and back a number of times. I've seen a few odd things on the highways too. The weirdest were an airplane and a helicopter, although the airplane was nothing like that. It was a smaller commuter plane.
The coolest thing I've seen on the freeway is a convoy of Army trucks. Of course, there were the mandatory 5T's and HMMV's, but the badass part were these humongous big rigs towing a bunch of tracked vehicles. Aside from the M113s and M60s (and a Linebacker!), there was this one rig hauling three
M1A1 Abrams on a flatbed! The damn big rig (engine) had 4 dually drive axles, each with tires about 4 feet in diameter!
The trailer itself had no less than 6 axles with tires of comparable size.

Here's what you're talking about:

M1070. The cab seats 5 - comfortably - which allows the tank crew to ride inside. It also has a over-pressure system to allow it to operate in a biological / chemical environment.
BTW, I was in a transportation unit that had a company of these and I can assure you that one (not 3) 70 ton tank is all they can haul. You won't find a bigger highway-capable truck because even the truck by itself requires special road clearance due to the weight and size.
