Odd LA Weather
This morning and through lunch it was drop dead gorgeous in Pasadena -- not a drop of smog, mountains visible past Big Bear, light Santa Ana wind coming down from the passes. Low 70s. From Angeles Crest Highway above La Canada I could see the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. Then I drove to Burbank for a PM meeting. At the Eagle Rock pass on the 134 there was suddenly a marine inversion white haze. Visibility disappeared and it got cooler (top down, of course). I thought "This is impossible meteorology -- someone has put a powerful drug in the office cooler and I am going to die on the road today." Returned to Pasadena and the inversion had made it to there. Check brain function -- OK!
nice and cozy in the bay area...60s-70s, foggy in the morning, had a couple rainy days.
HOWEVER!!! yesterday i was driving in the santa cruz mountains and the clouds were moving westwards over the summit.

It's always really clear after a storm. The weather down here in the south bay has been pretty crappy. Morning marine layer finally burning off to hazy afternoon sunshine. Damn, I sound like a weatherman.
