Wait. A $500 flashlight? So now we have to deal with flashlight ballers trying to show how money they are with their half-a-grand flashlights? I just don't get it.

But then, I bought a iPhone which lots of people don't understand the value of, so whatever. Personally, I like gadgets that have special utility, rather than something that does the same-old-same-old albeit with luxury components. As you can guess, I'm not the sort of guy impressed with diamond crusted cellphones or $1k LV handbags.
Lol there are flashlights out there that are THOUSANDS of dollars, and not just two or three. And I'm not pretending to be baller by having an expensive flashlight, like I said, my brother is in the industry and the mark up is pretty decent on lights.

But your point is exactly where the rift on the flashlight forums begin, people trying to wrap their minds around hanging a $500 flashlight on their keys. Honestly, if it was my dollar and at full retail I wouldn't even think of owning one. It's definitely cool, but not THAT cool.

http://www.cell-phone-jammers.com/

Sit down in the theater, press a button, and no phones will ring for an entire movie! Trying to pass and someone is clogging the left lane while on the phone, flip a switch and jam his call! See three twelve year old girls walking together in the mall all talking on their phones at the same time and just feel like being a dick? JAM them!

I want one so bad.

I have one of these:

It's not necessarily a gadget per se, but it sure comes in handy when opening UPS/FedEx boxes from board sponsors

It has a really nice mechanism for opening; it seems to be spring/lever loaded and snaps out with a nice "click."

Here's another: It's a cheaper alternative to the $500 flashlight

It stand up on it's own and you can tilt the head (you can't swivel it though, you have to manually move the base). It's handy if you're working under the car...at least for me.

How about a food gadget? Do those count? I love to BBQ and grill. Here are my two favorites:

Weber Baby Q (Q100)
You can't beat this if you're looking for a portable grill. It's super easy to use and lights with one or two clicks of the push button lighter. It's light, easy to carry, runs on bottle propane (Lowe's or HD), and can even be used with a hose adapter (to connect to a big propane tank). I use it at home, at tailgate parties (no charcoal to clean up), pool parties, park/picnic bbq, etc. I even take to work to cook for my department!
