You're selling the wrong one bud, take my word for it. I had a monster of a 5B, $4k in upgrades, it was a famous car in the hobby. Google 'Stealth Bajomber', it was murdered out, you'll find it. Anyway, even after taking it to the limit, my FG MB pro was still more fun to drive. Now 4wd is starting to take over 5th scale, racing classes are starting all over the world. You can get a 4wd conversion for that Marder for like $400, and then it will just blow the 5b out of the water in every conceivable way.
I'll post pics later, crappy network here in the office.

Don't bring up helis man... That stuff almost bankrupt me...

For electric... lots of money for up-keep?
I need to make sure I know all of this stuff before I get into another expensive hobby... lol.

Is it that addicting or are the kits/components that expensive?

IIGQ4U... what you call sloppy wiring would be better than anything I've done. I also race, but I'm pretty casual about it so I'll never be one of the top dogs. I can tell from your pics that you're one of those serious guys. Your wiring is all clean and your pit is all organized.
I started racing 1/12 scale because it's simpler and cheaper than TC but really challenging to drive. I just can't justify dropping $500 on a 009 no matter kickass that orange looks (and it does look very kickass).
What motor is that? Also, what battery is that? Everything looks so awesome but I've never seen that stuff, so I'm thinking that you probably mask it to match the car?
I usually go for simple paint jobs mostly because I suck at painting, but also because the detailed jobs look good standing still but I think clean lines look better when it's going around the track.
Here's my 1/12 running 13.5

Here's my Slash basher with a 6.5 (way too much power, it's ridiculous but fun)

My losi CR also running a 13.5

Blood Zombie, your paintjobs are nice and clean! I would have replied sooner but I never saw your message.
Anyway, the motor is a Novak Ballistic and the battery is a 2 cell LiPo by IP... Team Epic (Formerly known as Trinity) imports the packs.
You don't need to purchase a $500 car to be competitive in 1/10th. Hotbodies has the Cyclone S which is a very good car on outdoor asphalt tracks with a few minor upgrades. The T2R Pro is also another good car but is a bit more expensive.
Here is my latest car (Looks similar to the previous) and body.
